I received some really creative name suggestions. Now it's time for everyone to choose a winner.
Poll ends on Dec 7th.
A furry little giveaway.
Anyone who’s read Verita knows what a meerkit is. Now through December 15th, draw a picture of a meerkit for a chance to win a signed copy of Verita or Concisus(as soon as its released.)
By Christina
You don’t need to be an artist – one winner will be chosen randomly and the other will be chosen by a Goodread’s poll. Just draw your idea of what a meerkit looks like and e-mail it to me at TracyRozzlynn (at) gmail (dot) com. I will then post the picture for everyone to see. Please note the name I should list with the picture or if you wish to remain anonymous.
Only one entry per person.
Happy drawing :)
Two Kindle books for the price of one!
Happy Hollidays!
In the spirit of giving, now through December 7th, when you purchase a kindle copy of Verita or Fast-tracked, I will give a second copy of the same book to the person of your choosing.
First purchase your copy. Then email me the details section of your receipt (it contains the order number and title of the book, but no personal information.) Provide the e-mail of the person you’d like to receive the book and the date you’d like them to receive it. Please note any special message you’d like me to include, otherwise I will simply note that the book is a gift sent at your request.
You can also gift Verita and Fast-Tracked to someone else and use that receipt to get a free copy to also gift or keep for yourself.

Hi. I’m a small gray blob. I’m often mistaken for a rock, even though my body is soft and pliable like a slug’s. Good luck finding my mouth. I absorb all the nutrients and water I need directly from the rocks and soil. Pure metal is like candy to me – except for copper. I really don’t like copper.
Thank You for Supporting Our Troops

Blog Tour de Troops
Hello! I hope you’re enjoying the Blog Tour de Troops. You were probably just on Anne Tibbets blog Will Write for Coffee where your comment earned you and a soldier a free copy of her young adult adventure The Beast Call.
After you’re here done please visit Susan Salluce Sip N Share with Susan and get a copy of her Dramatic novel Out of Breath.
If given the choice between my life and my daughter’s, without hesitation I would choose hers. Like most people, if asked to risk my safety for the lives of my closest friends and family, it would only take me a moment to decide that I would. But if we’re truly honest with ourselves, how many of us would risk our safety and our lives for a stranger? Or for an ideal?
That’s exactly what the men and women of our military forces do every day. Without question or hesitation they do whatever job needs to be done, wherever it needs to be done. They keep us safe. They protect the ideals of civil liberty, human rights and our freedom. They sacrifice being close to their loved ones, and the comforts of home for us. Today through the 14th, just by commenting, you can give a little back to them.
Don’t forget. Your next stop on the tour is with Susan Salluce at her site Sip N Share with Susan

Delayed
I recently received my Darkened Shadow’s edit back. Having a second set of eyes has made it clear to me that the novel still needs work before it’s ready to be release. I’m sorry to disappoint everyone who is waiting, but I’d rather take the extra time to give you the story you deserve rather than rush something out that’s not ready. I’m currently working on finishing up the second book in the Verita series, so most likely Darkened shadows will not be ready until early next year. Again I apologize for the wait.

You Pick the Cover
I have placed a poll on GoodReads.com. The cover that recieves the most votes between now and October 10th, will be the cover for Darkened shadows.
Darkened Shadows Release
I planned on having Darkened Shadows ready for release by the end of September. The novel itself is written, but I’ve decided to try a new editor.
The good news is that the editor comes highly recommended. The bad news it the editor comes highly recommended, so there is a bit of a wait. Fortunately, the wait isn’t too long. Darken Shadows is scheduled to be edited mid October. I apologize for the delay in the release, but I think the extra time will be worth it.
In the mean time I have designed several covers for Darken Shadows. I plan to show them on GoodReads and allow everyone to vote for their favorite. I will post the details soon.

Mahnahmahnah! vs. Hugga Wugga!
I finally got tired of my daughter thinking the Muppets were just Sesame Street or Disney characters. So You Tube to the rescue. I showed her my two favorite scenes - you guessed it Mahnahmahnah! and Hugga Wugga! She finally gets it and wants me to get the shows for her now. Unfortunately she's as unable as I am to pick a favorite out of the two.
Which one is your favorite?

Book Updates
Fast-Tracked is currently getting edited. July 13th is the release date.
I’m in the process of making Verita available in paperback.
Currently I am working on completing both The Darkness Within and Concisus − the second book in the Verita series. My goal is to complete The Darkness Within first and then Concisus.
There is a strong chance that the title of The Darkness Within will change. There are simply too many books that share its title. Besides, now that the project has progresses, I’m not convinced that it’s the best title for the novel.

My picture
I finally gave in and uploaded a photo of myself. It wasn't as easy a task as it sounds. Of the hundreds of pictures I have saved over the years, so very few of them are of me. I tend to be behind the camera taking the pictures. Plus I have a tendency to partially close my eyes in photos. Completely closed wouldn't be so bad, but partially closed makes me look weird. So after some searching I finally found a recent photo of myself that I like.

What's in a Name?
Just in case you're wondering where I got the name for Verita:
Many of our planets get their name from Greek or Roman mythology. In Roman Mythology, Veritas, was the goddess of truth. In Greek mythology, she was known as Aletheia. So I decided to call my planet Veritas.
As the novels in the series progressed, the truth became a more significant theme. So I decided to use Veritas as my title. However, Brett is never given the whole truth. So Veritas became Verita. As Brett slowly uncovers the truth she must decide what, how much, and to whom she should reveal it to.

I Hate Picking Quotes
Today it was pointed out to me that I should add a quote to my facebook page. I hate picking quotes. To me picking a quote is like declaring this is who I am. And honestly, who I am changes with my mood and the situation.
I’m a different person when I’m with my daughter than when I’m out with friends or typing at my computer.
If I’m in a good mood – a light, hopeful quote involving rainbows and unicorns is appropriate. A deep, poignant quote fits a pensive mood. If I happen to be in a really, exceptionally foul mood, quotes and everything else in the world are stupid. Don’t even bother to convince me otherwise. Just give me some angry music to listen to and leave me alone until I calm down enough to be rational again.

Editing finished
My editing was actually finished early last week, but computer issues slowed me down. I have now finished reading through the many typos Nicholas found for me (his website). I will never again attempt to do my own editing. Fortunately there are indie editors out there that will do the editing without draining my bank account. That way I can focus on the story, instead of my typing skills.

Laptop Trouble.
My laptop gave me a scare. It told me that there was a critical hard drive error. Then, it rebooted. When my screen reappeared, Internet explorer was the only visible icon. The computer tried to scan and correct the issue. However, to use the advanced scan, I needed to upgrade. I got suspicious and hopeful.
After several stressful days I finally have my laptop back up and running. I finally gave in and used my system restoral disks. Fortunately I recently backed up everything of value. So, I didn’t lose anything except time. The message that said 31% of my hard drive was unreadable was nothing more than malware.
On the plus side, my computer is now clutter-free. Only programs and files I use are on my computer now.

Getting Edited.
I finally gave in and decided to get my book edited. With over 80,000 words, I kept running into little things I missed that should have been obvious. I love my book, but I'm just to close to it. My mind fills in the blanks and reads what it thinks should be there, and not what is actually there.
So, I hired a fresh set of eyes to edit it. I went to KindleBoards and was able to find both lists of Indie editors and some feedback on them. The prices are much more reasonable than some of the prices I was finding elsewhere.
I should have my novel back by the middle of next week. So by the end of the week Verita will be back up and available for purchase. Then we both can be the judge of how my Indie editor did.
