The second book in the Verita series is almost finished, but I have a creature without a name. Now through the end of November leave a comment with your suggested name.
I will then post a pole on Goodreads for everyone to vote on their favorite name. I will use the wining name in Concisus (Verita #2)
Hi. I’m a small gray blob. I’m often mistaken for a rock, even though my body is soft and pliable like a slug’s. Good luck finding my mouth. I absorb all the nutrients and water I need directly from the rocks and soil. Pure metal is like candy to me – except for copper. I really don’t like copper.
Hi it seems to be something between a rock and a sponge so I think maybe 'ronge' or 'runge'. Loved both Fast tracked and Verita, and can't wait for the next books. Carolyn
ReplyDeleteAnother name for sponge - Porifera. Sounds interesting. Thank you

For me it looks like a ÑomNom. Don't know why, but it does.
ReplyDeleteThe truffle of doom.
ReplyDeleteHmmm.... it appears to some sort of land based type animal... similar to a sea squirt. How interesting, a sea squirt that has learned to live outside it's natural habitat, they are very adaptable little creatures, taking over water ways. It's a break through in evolution! A land squirt, maybe the first in existence. I actually think that's a pretty good name too... meet my pet blob, Squirt. LOL
ReplyDeleteDottie :)
Metallica cuz of the love of all things metal.
ReplyDeleteor something simple and a little humorous like bob the blob
Ozzie, because it uses osmosis/diffusion and looks like a rock, (play on words since Ozzy Osborne is a rock idol!).

When I look at it I see the word Zephyr or Zeph.
ReplyDeleteGresungy, ( grey+spungy)
ReplyDeleteBlasogy
ReplyDeleteLapideus Limax (stone slug in Latin)- "Max" for short ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe "Max" comment was from me, had to figure out my ID ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love all the creative suggestions :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know if suggestions are still being taken but i thought of another one.
